Industrial Controls Technician

Purpose of Role:
The Industrial Controls Technician will provide support to production by troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production equipment according to all safety legislation and safety rules. The Industrial Controls Technician will be expected to diagnose equipment malfunction, determine root cause and initiate immediate and long-term corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7 Focus Area:

  • Calibrate, commission, configure, install and troubleshoot all pneumatic, electronic, electrical, mechanical and analytical instrumentation devices.
\xc2\xb7 Focus Area:
  • Calibrate and repair analytical instrumentation that monitors or controls flow, level, temperature, pressure, acidity, conductivity and humidity.
\xc2\xb7 Focus Area:
  • Inspect malfunctioning or damaged equipment to identify sources of problems and report findings to Maintenance Manager to determine next possible solutions.
\xc2\xb7 Focus Area:
  • Develop and design control systems logic.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: (Add MAX 4 bullets of desired eligibility requirements)
  • Minimum 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Must have Experience with Allen Bradley
  • Siemens is an asset.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
