As Brock Solutions continues to grow and respond to the on-going requirements of major clients, we need to add talent to our base of outstanding professionals. We are currently seeking a Control Systems Support Engineer to join our team of experienced professionals located at our head office in Kitchener, ON.



Working with other highly motivated Engineers, you will be involved with designing, programming, integrating, troubleshooting, and supporting new and existing automated controls systems.

Responsibilities may include:

Troubleshooting a variety of electrical, PLC, and HMI systems Resolving mission critical issues/outages for high profile customers Interact with customers and understand the client processes Programming/modification of PLC systems Programming/modification of Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) Interfacing with real-time database applications to manage critical production information Diagnose and analyze systems to determine the root cause of current issues, to identify potential future issues, and to identify areas to improve or maintain system performance Site commissioning and installation Performing other duties as assigned by Service/Support Manager
On-call service/support for existing installations



Qualifications Required:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Experience leading teams an asset Experience designing electrical control systems Ability to problem solve Aptitude for Programming Ladder Logic Knowledge of Rockwell PLC platforms (Schnieder, Siemens, or GE is an asset) Knowledge of one or more HMI/SCADA platforms (Ignition, Rockwell, AVEVA, iFix etc is an asset) AVEVA Certification is an asset Ability to read electrical schematics is an asset Understanding of industrial environments, engineering, and production processes Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems design, Automation, Industrial Engineering or College equivalent Ability to complete all security clearance requirements that may be required for the performance of the work
Experience working in the Water/Wastewater Industry is an asset



Other Job Information (if applicable):
Successful candidates are expected to work in the South-Central Ontario Area with up to 25% onsite time with our local Water/Wastewater sites. Candidate is expected to reside in one of the following major areas or be within short driving distance of them: Region of Waterloo, Guelph, Halton Region, Peel Region, Hamilton, GTA



This position will focus on supporting our growing customer footprint in the South-Central Ontario Area.
