MASTERS LEVEL CLINICAL COUNSELLOR (RCC or CCC) OR REGISTERED SOCIAL WORKER (RSW or RCSW) - INDIVIDUAL AND RELATIONSHIP THERAPIST

Term: 15-25 clinical hours per week | in person and virtual | evening or weekend shifts necessary.

Start date: November 2025

mature, experienced therapist

to add to our incredible clinical team. If you have a passion for the practice of therapy, but could do without the hustle, logistics, and isolation of a solo practice, this is the position for you!

Open Space Counselling is a thriving clinic in the heart of Lower Lonsdale in North Vancouver. We have a stellar reputation and a robust stream of referrals. Work in a beautiful, stylish clinic space, have ongoing access to peer consultation, and see interesting clients. We provide admin and marketing support, and have a readily available leadership team to support you in reaching your goals as a therapist.

For this position, we are seeking someone mature (ideally 40+) We have many clients in the mid-life phase of their lives who would love to see a therapist with some life experience.

We require someone who is willing (and excited) to come to the clinic for

in person sessions

. We are looking for someone who will be able to work up to a minimum of three shifts a week (at least two of which would be on site, in person). There is a high demand for evenings and weekends currently, so we are looking for someone who can work at least one evening or weekend shift.

More about you:

You are independent, but thrive in team environments, and love connecting with others who share your passion for therapy and clinical interventions.

You are both practical and relational in your approach to therapy. You can provide tools and strategies, but also work on a deeper, more relational level at the core issues.

You are willing to respect and uphold our Standards of Care and Standard Operating Procedures.

You are independently able to use (or learn) basic technology such as JaneApp and Google Workspace.

Absolutely Essential Requirements (please only apply if you tick ALL of these boxes):

Masters degree

(minimum) in counselling psychology, clinical psychology, or social work Registration with an appropriate association or college: RCC, RSW, R.Psych Experience and training in

couples counselling

and an enthusiasm for couples work Ability to work with a broad range of clinical issues (e.g. anxiety, depression, self-worth, trauma, life transitions, grief, relationships) Weekend and/or evening availability Availability for

both

in-person and virtual counselling is required Availability to work up to seeing minimum 15 clients per week and as many as 25 (if desired) Excellent spoken English (fluency in another language is always an asset!)

Also Assets:

Experience in perinatal psychology, maternal mental health, or helping parents Training in a

trauma informed modality

(EMDR, Brainspotting, OEI, Internal Family Systems, Sensorimotor, or another well established model) Experience working with adults who have ADHD or neurodiversity Ability to provide counselling in a language other than English
