EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Indigenous Skills and Employment Training Program (ISETP) Administration and Finance Assistant Contract Job Summary:
The Administration and Finance Assistant provides support to the Indigenous Skills and Employment Training Strategy (ISETP) by overseeing administrative and financial functions of the department in an effective and efficient manner. The position is responsible for general reception, administrative functions, and financial processes and monitoring for the department.
Provides general reception services to ISETP department, overall clerical, and administrative support for ISETP program delivery, and overall financial administration and monitoring support to the ISETP department. The position is intended to work with computer applications to monitor and record administrative and financial activity of the ISETP department utilizing program systems, procedures and resources, and may be required to sit for long periods of time.
The position is expected to operate in compliance with the Sagamok Anishnawbek personnel, administration, and finance policies, SDC policies and procedures, established Quality Assurance principles, standards, and processes, and applicable laws, and regulations. This position carries no specific management responsibilities or authorities.
Qualifications/Terms & Conditions:


  • Preference for College or University Degree in Business related field
  • Minimum of 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in administration, or employment and training.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet, and electronic email.
  • Ability to understand and speak Ojibwe will be considered a definite asset.
  • Local knowledge and understanding of Sagamok Anishnawbek\xe2\x80\x99s services will be considered an asset.
  • Preference will be given to a member or resident of Sagamok Anishnawbek.
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and vehicle for on-the-job use.
  • Able to travel on short notice.
  • Able to work flexible hours on short notice and including afterhours.
  • Sign and comply with an annual Oath of Confidentiality.
  • Must provide a Criminal Records Check prior to commencing employment.
