TO Live has an exciting full-time opportunity in its Human Resources Department in the role of Part-time Project Manager, Indigenous Song Project.
This position will report to the Director of Indigenous Affairs and Engagement, who reports to the VP of HR & Organizational and will also work with the Programming Department for programming and producing portions of this pilot project.
This position will be the key lead and collaborate with the Indigenous Researcher, while meeting the needs demanded by the project by working alongside the Director of Indigenous Affairs and Initiatives at TO Live. They will also be guided by an Indigenous Advisory Council.
This position is for a successful Indigenous applicant with Indigenous academic, community and lived experience with leadership and project management experience.
(Preference will be given to indigenous applicants.)
ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with the Director of Indigenous Affairs and Engagement, and in liaison with the Finance Department, to regularly review and revise the planning, budgeting and reporting systems and procedures to meet the objectives of the ISPP, and TO Live's reporting system and procedures, as laid out in the proposal documents.
Develop a working schedule to achieve the goals and objectives of the ISPP in a quick moving environment.
Develop a working budget in alignment with the schedule to achieve the goals and objectives of the report.
Develop a Project Management Schedule and work backwards to ensure all goals and objectives are met within the timely manner laid out in the proposal.
Develop cross departmental relationships to ensure goals are met in Programming, Development, Marketing, Finance and HR.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Indigenous Affairs and Engagement; and/or their designate.
Evaluate the project at every stage and make recommendations for improvement as we move forward to the next stage.
Evaluate the project at the end and provide a report for the Director of Indigenous Affairs and Initiatives.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum five years' experience in research with Indigenous peoples, the Tri-Council Policy statement of ethics as well as Indigenous methods of ethics.
Experience in project management, lived and/or program studies.
Indigenous Academic and community experience preferred.
Strong skills preparing and managing budgets.
Strong skills preparing and managing projects and their components in timely and budget-friendly manners.
An ability to execute complex inter-departmental planning and reporting requirements.
A mature, experienced team player.
An ability to understand and effectively balance the expectations of the various TO Live constituencies, Indigenous communities, and Indigenous youth constituents.
Project evaluation experience. Ability to evaluate the project at every stage and make recommendations for improvement as we move forward to the next stage.
Evaluate the project at the end and provide a report for the Director of Indigenous Affairs and Initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, negotiation, and collaborative skills.
Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop staff and foster a team environment.
Strong staff management and collaborative leadership skills including organizational planning and delegation.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Flexibility in hours includes working evenings and weekends as required.
Work from home, but meet at TO Live and/or other venues as required.
Travel between TO Live venues as required.
Strong online meeting skills, tech skills and presentation skills.
