The Centre of Hope invites applications for: Part Time Indigenous Liaison Coordinator.

Note: Perquisite for this positing requires applicants to have a minimum 2-year social sector diploma, and indigenous identity or lived experience.

As a coordinator you will be responsible for but not limited to:

Cultural programming: Plan and deliver Indigenous cultural activities such as sharing circles, storytelling, drumming, crafts, and seasonal ceremonies. Community connection: Build relationships with local Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and Indigenous organizations to strengthen cultural supports. Client support: Provide culturally informed guidance and advocacy for Indigenous clients accessing services. Education and awareness: Offer workshops and learning opportunities for staff and clients to increase understanding of Indigenous history, traditions, and contemporary issues. Collaboration: Work closely with program staff to integrate cultural practices into daily programming and special events. Resource development: Assist in creating culturally relevant materials, activities, and supports tailored to the needs of Indigenous clients.
Qualifications:

Indigenous identity or lived experience strongly preferred, with deep knowledge of Indigenous culture, traditions, and protocols. Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly those experiencing homelessness, poverty, or marginalization. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage respectfully across diverse communities. Ability to facilitate cultural activities in group and one-on-one settings. Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
Salary to be negotiated based on 10 hr work week.
