If so, we have an inspiring role at WorkSafeBC.As our Indigenous Cultural Navigator and Engagement Specialist, you will be at the forefront of shaping WorkSafeBC\xe2\x80\x99s approach to Indigenous relations. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Indigenous Relations, you will have a unique opportunity to forge strong connections between WorkSafeBC and Indigenous workers, employers, providers, and communities.   • Establish and nurture meaningful relationships with Indigenous workers, employers, providers, and communities.
  • Serve as a vital resource for Indigenous clients, guiding them through organizational processes and enhancing their experience.
  • Partner with diverse teams to drive initiatives that improve outcomes and support return to work for Indigenous injured workers.
  • Spearhead key Indigenous engagement initiatives and manage various internal and external projects with impact.

Your background and experience
  • A degree in related fields
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in Indigenous relations, consulting, prevention, or disability management
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of Indigenous issues and an appreciation of the complexity and diversity of Indigenous Peoples and communities across BC.
  • Must demonstrate lived experience within Indigenous communities.
