Primary Purpose: The Indigenous Coordinator role effectively supports the ohpahotan | oohpaahotaan and EDI Strategies and contributes to the success and well-being of Indigenous students within the College of Medicine.
Nature of Work: The Regina Indigenous Coordinator, part of the Office of the Vice Dean Indigenous Health (OVDIH) team, is dedicated to supporting Indigenous students, faculty, staff, and initiatives, as well as advancing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) within the College of Medicine. Reporting to the Manager of OVDIH and Administration & Finance, Regina Campus, the coordinator is accountable to the Vice Dean Indigenous Health and Associate Dean, Regina campus. The Regina Indigenous Coordinator collaborates closely with stakeholders to develop and implement programs, build relationships, and enhance Indigenous engagement within the college. This position is crucial in fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment that promotes the personal, social, cultural, and academic success of learners across campuses. Some travel within the province may be required.
Roles and Responsibilities: * Serve as a primary point of contact for Indigenous students, offering guidance, mentorship, and support to enhance their university experience.
