The successful applicant will also possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and will have strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma required.
Post-secondary education in administration is an asset.
Principal Duties:
1. Administrative Support:
Schedule appointments, meetings, and events
Maintain and update community health program calendars, ensuring proper coordination of all events and activities.
Create and organize resources (pamphlets, flyers, informational materials) to support chronic disease prevention and screening programs.
Prepare reports and data entry for program tracking and evaluation.
2. Community Engagement:
Assist in the planning and coordination of health promotion events for community members, with a focus on cancer screening, diabetes, heart failure education, and referrals to other community services.
Coordination of traditional healing services, working to schedule in partnership with the Healers, local communities and Non-Insured Health Benefits (Indigenous Services Canada).
3. Support for Indigenous Navigators:
Help track and manage referrals to and from community services, ensuring timely follow-ups and proper documentation.
4. Event Planning and Coordination:
Assist in the promotion, setup, coordination, and breakdown of health-related events at various community and health centers.
5. General Administrative Tasks:
Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries related to the health programs.
Prepare and organize program materials for distribution at events, including health information and promotional materials.
Support the Prevention Specialist and Indigenous Navigators in any other administrative duties as required.
