About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Health Information Services (Health Records), the Indexing Clerk (IC) is responsible for ensuring that all patient documentation are prepped, scanned and indexed into the electronic OneContent based on established policies and procedures with the highest level of quality possible. The IC minimizes duplicate records, overlap entries and performs data integrity activities. The IC is also responsible for scheduled chart pulls, processing incoming mail and reconciliation of patient visits as per department policy. Capable of performing all duties identified as Major Responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner ensuring patient information is available for ongoing clinical care within 24 hour processing of discharged visits. The HIS department operates 7 days a week. The responsibilities of this role include lifting up to 20lbs.
Please note, this position will be based out of multiple sites, including the QEII, Dartmouth General Hospital and the Cobequid Community Health Centre.
