Irving Shipbuilding Inc. is seeking an Incident Investigation Specialist to join the Health, Safety and Environment team.
The Incident Investigation Specialist will act as a subject matter expert, leading major (level 3 and 4) incident investigations as well as completing the Causal analysis and providing recommendations on actions to prevent recurrence. This role will partner with all parties involved in the investigation process and act as the central contact and liaison. This role also ensures the quality and consistency of proper investigation processes and will partner with production leaders, union representatives, Production committees, and all relevant parties to perform an impartial investigation. Responsibilities for the role will include developing and implementing best practice investigation processes, training, identifying the resulting process improvements aligned with reporting metrics, and assisting the Director in compiling and presenting to senior leadership on investigation findings and lessons learned.
This is a permanent full-time role based in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. The primary language of work is English.
