The Role: In-Person French Language Instructor
This is an
in-person teaching opportunity
perfect for current French educators looking for consistent part-time work. The ideal candidate currently teaches French, is enrolled in teacher's college, or is working in an education-related field.
This is an in-person position requiring reliable commuting to our North York location.
Essential Qualifications
Language Proficiency:
Native or near-native proficiency in spoken and written French is required.
Teaching Experience:
Proven teaching experience with
French Language classes (Core French or Immersion) for Grades 7-12
within a Canadian or US curriculum context is mandatory.
Academic Proficiency:
Strong academic proficiency and confidence in teaching French grammar, comprehension, and conversation, which must be clearly demonstrated during the selection process.
Technical Skill:
Teachers must be proficient in online teaching tools (for resource preparation, marking, and administrative tasks).
Core Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons focused on French language acquisition to small classes of students or through private tutoring sessions in person.
Prepare lesson materials within program guidelines and accurately mark homework and assessments (reading, writing, and grammar exercises).
Actively work to promote and nurture students' intrinsic interests and curiosity in the French language and culture.
Teachers are required to teach a
minimum of 4 hours per week
.

Compensation:
Compensation is calculated based on scheduled teaching hours and prior teaching experience.
