Overview

We are seeking compassionate and patient individuals to join our 84 year old father's team of In-Home Caregivers as he recovers from a major stroke suffered in November 2023. As a caregiver, you will provide essential assistance to our father in his home, ensuring his well-being and comfort.

Responsibilities

- Support our father with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

- Serve nutritious meals according to dietary needs and as prepared by his family as well as setting up and initiating liquid feeding through his Gastric Tube

- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals via Gastric Tube

- Familiar with using ceiling lift and sling for transfers to wheelchair, commode, etc.

- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment

- Support clients with stroke care and rehabilitation exercises

Qualifications

- Experience in assisted living, caregiving, or a related field is preferred

- Knowledge of senior care practices and principles

- Ability to effectively communicate with client and family

- Understanding of medication administration procedures

- Familiarity with home care services (i.e., ceiling lift, GI tube, etc.) and best practices

- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with clients

- Certification in nursing assistance or related field is a plus

Our current support worker needs are from Monday to Friday from 100-200pm or 100-300pm depending on availability. Also on Monday evenings from 500-830pm. Starting October 1st.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
