Midland Transport is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist at the Head Office location in Dieppe, NB. The selected candidate will be a driven individual with a strong work ethic and a "Can DoaEUR attitude. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will lead Midland Transport's international sourcing, recruitment, and immigration activities. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work to translate international hiring needs into a strategic recruitment and implementation plan.

Qualifications:

  • Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
  • Years of Experience Required:
2 years' experience with full cycle recruitment, international recruitment, and/or Canadian immigration is considered a strong asset * Knowledge of New Brunswick and Canadian immigration regulations and experience in applying for immigration programs
  • Cross-cultural competencies, and abilities to work with persons from various nationalities
  • Process thinking and the ability/experience to work independently would be a strong asset
  • Customer focused individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Energetic self-starter who enjoys working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Able to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to speak languages other than English is an asset; French and/or other European languages preferred
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with MidlandaEUR(TM)s leadership team to develop a workforce plan, recruitment strategies and programs that provide for effective recruitment.
  • Collaborate with HR partners and hiring managers to support the recruitment lifecycle including posting requisitions, screening candidates, conducting pre-employment assessments, completing reference checks, and completing background checks.
  • Coordinate and assist international candidates with immigration files, including assisting with document preparation and submission of applications for immigration, work permits, and/or permanent residency.
  • Process documentation for provincial and federal government programs including, but not limited to Labor Market Impact Assessments, Temporary Foreign Workers, work permits, and/or permanent residency applications.
  • Liaise with the settlement team to understand pre-arrival, upon arrival, and post-arrival supports, focusing on integration into the community and the Company, resulting in long-term retention.
  • Maintain knowledge on all provincial and federal immigration and employment regulations and programs.
  • Effectively use the companyaEUR(TM)s online applicant tracking system (Taleo) to create job postings, track candidate flow for each required requisition.
  • Ensure all applicants meet qualification standards set by the Company and that all files are complete.
  • Coordinate and attend job fairs and other recruitment events as required.
  • Keep up with Industry market trends.
