Summary:

This position will appeal to candidates who thrive in a high performance culture, supporting a fast-paced, established Immigration practice. Experience in managing the full life cycle of corporate work permits and permanent residence applications is essential.

Candidates who do not meet the minimum corporate immigration work experience requirements need not apply.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:

At least two years' corporate immigration experience is managing the full life cycle of a work permit application and/or permanent residence from initiation to finalization is required.

Practical expertise in intra-company transfer work permits and other LMIA-exempt work permits is required.

Practical expertise in permanent residence applications is preferred.

Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills are required.

Strong drafting and grammar skills are essential.

Excellent organizational skills an experience monitoring deadlines and prioritizing work with a tickler system are essential.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients are required.

A proactive approach to working within a challenging legal environment is required.

Bilingualism would be an asset.
