Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Administrative Director, the Charge Technologists within Diagnostic Imaging and the supervision of the Diagnostic Services Assistant, the incumbent performs a variety of tasks relating to the scheduling of Diagnostic Imaging procedures.

Experience

• A minimum of 1 year experience in a Diagnostic Imaging environment is required
• Previous experience in scheduling Diagnostic Imaging procedures is required
• Experience with \xe2\x80\x9cwindows based\xe2\x80\x9d Radiology Information System (RIS) and scheduling modules is required.
• Experience in general office procedures and various types of filing systems is required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Grade 12 education.
• Completion of a recognized course in Medical Terminology is required.

Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum typing speed of 40 w.p.m in required.
• Proficiency in \xe2\x80\x9cwindows based\xe2\x80\x9d computers system is required.
• A thorough knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging Procedures and patient preparation is required.
• Demonstrated effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to function in a demanding and stressful environment.
