The Master of Forensic Accounting (MFAcc) program is a 10-course program offered at the graduate level, primarily on a distance education basis, using a problem-based learning model supplemented by web- based sessions. The Program currently has the following

Sessional Instructional Assistant

position available for the Winter term and invites applications from suitably qualified candidates who are not current University of Toronto students. No late applications can be considered.

Course title:

Business Valuation, Bankruptcy & Insolvency & Advanced Loss Quantification (IFA2906H)

# of Positions: 1-2 (SIAs)

Dates of appointment:

January 28 - March 31, 2026


Description of Duties:

Marking the student assignment and student exam in accordance with the marking guide developed in conjunction with the instructor, and in accordance with the grading policies of the University of Toronto; consultation with the Director and Instructor as required.

Est. Total Required Hours:

40 hours (split between both SIAs)


Rate:

$55.44 per hour

Enrolment:

18 students

Description of course:

Building upon the introduction to loss quantification in earlier courses, IFA2906H will present additional material on: types of claims; overview of damages; overview of the litigation process; lost revenues; additional costs; inventory losses; expert reports; alleged wrongdoing; methodological and technical issues; personal injury; and business interruption insurance and insurance law.

Minimum qualifications:

Professional Accounting Designation and Investigative & Forensic Accounting Experience preferred.
