The Glencoe Club is a private, family-oriented sports and social club located in the Elbow Park neighborhood of Calgary, Alberta. Our facility boasts a full-service food & beverage department as well as eight sport facilities. These facilities include curling, bowling, skating, aquatics, squash, tennis, badminton, climbing centre, fitness centre, indoor playground, and a Pro Shop.

The Glencoe Club is currently seeking a Temporary Part-Time Ice & Grounds Attendant to services which enhance the users' enjoyment in the Skating Rink and Curling Rink. This is accomplished by providing a clean and safe environment. Secondly, the aim of this position is to provide assistance in the area of building and grounds maintenance throughout the entire Club.

Responsibilities:

Provides service excellence to members and guests Ensure timely and effective two way communication (verbal, written) between members, staff and Supervisor Ensures members adhere to rules and regulations Effectively address members concerns and complaints immediately if possible, and take to Supervisor when needed Assist in the maintenance of curling and skating facilities Assist in the maintenance and installation of curling and skating ice Maintain cleanliness standards of the skating and curling areas Operate and maintain the Ice Resurfacer and Ice Edger Assist in the maintenance of grounds Operate grounds maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers etc. Complete general maintenance requests as required

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license Competency in Operation of ice resurfacing equipment preferred Previous experience in ice and grounds maintenance preferred Ability to safely use hand and power tools High commitment to service and quality Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task Flexibility and reliability Effectiveness at working independently Standard First Aid/CPR C/AED Certification is required

Additional Details:

This is a Temporary Part-Time position. The successful applicant must be available a variety of daytime and evening weekday and weekend shifts.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector background check, and a Respect in the Workplace online certification.
