This Request for Resource (RFR) is an invitation by the Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation (SCIC) to prospective proponents to provide submissions for the provision of one IBM i Application Developer, as further described in the RFR Particulars (Appendix A) (the "Deliverables").

SCIC requires one IBM i Application Developer to provide operational and project support to the Core Services application development team.
The position will be located at the SCIC Head Office in Melville Saskatchewan. Remote work arrangements will be considered. The intended start date for the role is April 1, 2024.
Duties of the Resource will include, but are not necessarily limited to:
Documentation including solution requirements, design documents, process documentation, training documentation,
Software development on the IBM i including design, code, and unit tests,
Data querying and analysis,
Participation in team and project discussions.
THE DELIVERABLES
SCIC is looking for one (1) IBM i Application Developer with extensive technical experience in the areas of solution design and development.
The IBM i Application Developer\'s role is to provide operational and project support to the Core Services application development team. Primary responsibilities include working with technical and business functional resources to create and support optimal technical solutions and provide technical leadership and support.
Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of the IBM i platform are critical to successful performance in this role.
Duties of the resources will include, but are not necessarily limited to:
Documentation including solution requirements, design documents, process documentation, training documentation,
Software development on the IBM i including design, code, and unit tests,
Data querying and analysis,
Participation in team and project discussions.
The proponent will be required to participate in consultant performance evaluation as deemed appropriate by SCIC.
Familiarity with Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation, or comparable entity, technical and business landscape will be evaluated.
