Hi-Rail Excavator Operator - Immediate Start

Position Summary:

We are currently hiring a Hi-Rail Excavator Operator who has held, or currently holds CROR qualification to support our ongoing work at stunning remote locations throughout the Interior and Southern BC. This role involves operating a Hy-Tracker-equipped hi-rail excavator on active rail lines and assisting with rail-related geotechnical construction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate Hy-Tracker-equipped hi-rail excavators safely and efficiently

- Load/unload and secure equipment on/off the rail in accordance with CROR rules

- Perform daily maintenance checks and minor servicing of equipment

- Work as part of a team to complete rail-side construction tasks

- Follow all site safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications:

- CROR (Canadian Rail Operating Rules) qualified (preferred)

- Excavator operation experience (required)

- Previous experience working on or near live rail (preferred)

- Valid Class 1 driver's license (preferred)

- Willingness to work in remote locations and in varied weather conditions

- Strong communication skills and safety-first attitude

- Training provided for rail-specific procedures for the right candidate with strong excavator experience

- Projects are primarily in Golden and Revelstoke, BC, with LOA paid.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43.46-$53.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 50 per week
