to join our dental team. In this role, you will work closely with patients and the hygiene team to ensure an efficient and positive experience. Your focus will be on keeping the hygiene schedule full and organized, supporting patient retention, and helping patients stay on track with their preventive care.
Primary Responsibilities:
Schedule and confirm hygiene appointments to ensure productivity goals are met.
Manage hygiene recall systems and follow up with patients who are overdue.
Communicate with patients regarding treatment plans recommended by the hygienist or dentist.
Educate patients about the importance of routine cleanings and preventive care.
Coordinate with the front desk and clinical team to optimize the flow of patients.
Track and report hygiene department metrics (e.g., reappointment rate, cancellations, no-shows).
Ensure hygiene rooms are appropriately stocked and prepared (administrative coordination, not clinical).
Address patient concerns professionally and escalate issues as needed.
Support hygiene team with administrative tasks and time management.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Experience with dental software
Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures (especially preventive care)
Customer service or front office experience in a dental or medical setting
Detail-oriented and proactive
1+ year dental office experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
Familiarity with dental scheduling software
Passion for patient care and oral health
