Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating hydrovac trucks to safely excavate and expose underground utilities while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and mechanical knowledge, along with the ability to work in various construction environments. We are currently a non union Company but plan to unionize in 2026 including all Union Benefits.

Duties

Operate hydrovac trucks for safe excavation and utility exposure. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to plan and execute excavation projects efficiently. Utilize heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, and excavators as needed. Follow safety regulations and company policies during all operations. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used on-site. Assist in horizontal drilling operations when required. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.

Skills

Proficient in Hydrovac Truck Operation AZ License for at least 3 years Minimum 3 years Hydrovac Truck Operator experience Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment. Experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license. Familiarity with construction practices and safety standards. Ability to operate hydrovac trucks effectively in various conditions. Knowledge of horizontal drilling techniques is a plus. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and collaboration with the Customer.
