When Gear Equipment started operations in Ontario in June 2014, Gear had only two Vac Trucks and a dream. By 2015 Gear Equipment had 6 trucks in our fleet and grew again in 2016 to 16 units, and we continue to expand. Our Dry Suction and Wet / Dry Hybrid capabilities bring time and cost-saving innovation to our customers.

We are looking for Vac Truck Operators who will be responsible for operating units to perform excavation activities associated with pipeline, construction, and utility work.

Summary:

The Vac Truck Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of vacuum trucks and services for Gear Equipment's clients. If not already, Heavy Equipment Operators will be required to become members of Operating Engineers Local 115O Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Drive and operate Hydro-Vac or Vacuum trucks Maintain accurate reports including job site reports and driver inspection reports Provide a safe, reliable, and professional service to Gear's clients Inspection of vehicle daily prior and after to starting any new jobs, report any concerns to supervisor Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and procedures Complete tasks associated with excavation, trenching, and shoring General clean-up and maintenance of units Perform physically demanding tasks

Requirements:

Valid DZ driver's license Clean drivers abstract First-aid and H2S alive Industrial vacuum truck and excavating experience preferred Customer service focused
