Day & Night Hydrovac INC. is a corporation located out of Port Perry, Ontario, Canada. We specialize in daylighting, spill clean up, and hydro excavation. We also specialize in floating machinery and various materials.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Hydrovac Driver/Operator located in Port Perry, ON. The Hydrovac Driver/Operator will be responsible for the safe operation of Hydrovac trucks to perform excavation and clean-up services. Daily tasks include operating heavy equipment, maintaining equipment to ensure safety and functionality, adhering to safety protocols, and effectively communicating with team members and clients. The role requires a strong focus on safety and professional delivery of services to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

Operate hydrovac trucks and equipment for safe excavation of underground utilities. Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment to ensure operational safety. Collaborate with crew members to plan excavation projects and ensure efficient workflow. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including job site conditions and any issues encountered. Perform routine maintenance on equipment, identifying mechanical issues as they arise. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the job site. Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety practices.

Qualifications

DZ or AZ licence registered as Manuel Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, and other stakeholders. At minimum 2 years of experience operating and maintaining Hydrovac trucks or similar machinery. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company protocols and regulations. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities are beneficial.
