Overview

We are seeking a skilled Hydrovac Operator to join our construction and excavation team. This role involves operating specialized hydrovac equipment to safely and efficiently perform excavation tasks across various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation, including excavators, loaders, dozers, and backhoes, and possess a strong understanding of construction site safety protocols. Duties

Operate hydrovac trucks to excavate soil and debris with precision, ensuring minimal disturbance to surrounding structures and utilities Manage and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, and backhoes to support excavation activities Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of hydrovac units and associated machinery to ensure optimal performance Assist with site preparation, including grading and paving tasks when necessary Coordinate with project managers and other team members to execute excavation plans efficiently Follow all safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation, construction sites, and environmental regulations Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime

Experience

Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, backhoes, and horizontal drilling machinery Familiarity with commercial driving requirements for operating large trucks and hydrovac units on job sites Knowledge of construction processes including paving, grading, and site preparation Ability to work in physically demanding environments while maintaining safety standards Prior experience with Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery is highly desirable Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs or adjustments as needed Relevant certifications or licenses related to heavy equipment operation are preferred but not mandatory

Pay: $25.49-$33.44 per hour
