Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating hydrovac trucks and related heavy equipment to safely excavate and expose underground utilities. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in various environments.

Duties

Operate hydrovac trucks to perform safe excavation and utility exposure. Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Utilize various heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, graders, and caterpillars as needed. Assist in horizontal drilling operations as part of excavation projects. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work site. Follow all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks on the job site. Maintain accurate records of daily operations and equipment usage.

Requirements

Will be working on emergency spill jobs and there will be overtime and travel as required. Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with hydrovac trucks. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on equipment. If you have the following NFPA OPS + Technician Level or fire training is an asset. Valid Class 3 with Air Brakes / commercial driving license is required. Clean Abstract. Strong understanding of construction practices and safety regulations. Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented setting. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
