Job Description

We are a busy and reputable shallow utility construction company with steady, year-round work. We need an experienced hydrovac operator to work with both our crews and on third-party jobs.

The ideal candidate:

Works independently and efficiently. Has at least 3 years operating hydrovacs and has a good understanding of underground utilities construction. Knows and understands safe excavating practices. Is mechanically inclined and can troubleshoot issues with their truck that may arise. Has experience daylighting existing utilities as well as jetting/flushing blocked conduits. Has experience using remote hose. Is willing to occasionally work out of town for 1-2 weeks at a time. Can work with or without a swamper. Knows about and has used the vac dump sites and water fill stations in and around Calgary.
Candidates MUST have at least a Class 3 DL and a clean driving record.

Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
