Job Overview

JIP Telecom Inc. is looking for an experienced hydrovac operator to join our growing team to support fibre optic construction projects in Calgary and surrounding area.

Duties

- Operate Hydrovac truck and equipment in a safe and professional manner while abiding by safety practices outlined by JIP

- Responsible for the successful & efficient completion of hydro excavation locations

- Inspect and maintain vehicle and equipment in good working condition, troubleshooting minor mechanical issues.

-Taking the time to setup necessary barricades in work locations to protect personal property in congested locations

- This is a team-oriented position. The expectation is to also support other activities on work sites when hydrovac is not required.

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year experience operating hydrovac

- Class 1 or 3 License with clean drivers abstract and 3 years of commercial insurance history

- Ground disturbance Level 2 and other safety tickets are preferred

- Mechanical inclination is an asset.

- Can listen to directions and follow procedures.

- Required to wear all appropriate PPE on all job sites

- Must be eligible to work in Canada

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
