As a Staff Hydrogeologist or Environmental Engineer in one of our Ontario Canada offices you will apply your academic knowledge and practical experience to real-world situations to identify solutions for our clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the position include:

  • Fieldwork such as soil and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, and remediation system O&M;
  • Chemical and environmental data evaluation:
  • Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation;
  • Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures; and
  • Technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.

Here are some other things you should know about this position:
  • Training: This position requires 40-hour OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.
  • Fieldwork: Up to 40%
  • Overnight travel: Up to 20%

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
  • Bachelor\'s degree in geology or environmental, civil, or geological engineering. (required)
  • Advanced degree in geology or environmental engineering. (preferred)
  • Professional Engineer or Professional Geoscientist license or ability to obtain (preferred)
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior research experience in contaminated media or remediation technology. (preferred)
  • Prior internship experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel to create tables and figures and use appropriate built-in functions to evaluate data. (preferred)
  • Experience with environmental field work such as soil and groundwater sampling, soil logging, and drilling oversight. (preferred)
  • Valid Canadian driver s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
