Responsibilities and Duties
Hydraulic Service Technician:
Component cleaning - spill management & contamination control duties as required.
Disassemble, inspect & diagnose failures on various mobile & Oil-sand plant related hydraulic cylinders, accumulators, pumps, motors, control valves.
Precision measuring requirements for service equipment in question - failure reporting - repair requirements reporting.
Experience working with common hand tools - power equipment (hydraulic rams / power units / test benches) - testing equipment (test stands / flow-meters).
Component installation and commissioning experience is preferred - post installation testing reporting.
Experience with both static plant equipment and mobile equipment is preffered.
Seal measurements & crossover experience preferred.
Maintain and repair in house equipment as required.
Assist in manufacturing of cylinder components.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
CFPS (Certified Fluid Power Specialist) considered an asset.
Experience with hydraulic diagnostic equipment, testing equipment.
Some welding & machining experience (beginner to intermediate)
Strong troubleshooting abilities - schematic and drawing experience.
Basic mathematical skills required.
Strong communication skills.
Overhead crane certification preferred.
Forklift Operations certificate preferred.
Possible Shift Scenarios:
- Monday - Friday (5-2) // Project Shifts (7 - 7)
- Some Weekends May Be Required (By Customer Request)
- Some Extended hours may be required (10-12 HR Days)
