We are seeking a
Hydraulic Modeler
with experience building and calibrating hydraulic models for municipal infrastructure (water and wastewater) projects. This is an exciting opportunity to lead projects and contribute to innovative solutions that make a difference. Ideally, you'll be based in Calgary, but you could be working 2 days /week from any of our major offices in Western Canada or Ontario.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead the development of conceptual designs and engineering solutions for municipal water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
Perform technical assessments of existing water and wastewater systems, including capacity analysis and identifying areas for upgrades or optimization.
Utilize advanced hydraulic modeling tools such as WaterCAD, SewerGEMS, or similar software to prepare and refine designs.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
Mentor others and provide technical leadership on project delivery.
Ensure designs comply with municipal, provincial, and industry standards.
Liaise with municipalities, regulators, clients and other agencies

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
5+ years of experience in hydraulic modeling for municipal clients, with a focus on water and wastewater system design.
Expertise in hydraulic modeling software, including WaterCAD, SewerGEMS, PCSWWM or similar.
Proficiency in GIS software, with the ability to integrate GIS data into engineering analyses an asset.
Strong understanding of municipal engineering standards and design principles for water and wastewater systems.
Experience with QA/QC practices and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively, both in writing and verbally.
Proven track record of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a collaborative environment.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D for drafting and design is an asset.
Familiarity with land development and municipal infrastructure projects in Alberta an asset.
