Carol Lake Hydraulics and Machining is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hydraulic Hose Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary contact for customers seeking hose and fitting solutions. Your main responsibility will be to identify customer hose requirements using the Parker "STAMP" method and select appropriate Parker hoses and fittings for assembly. You will also be responsible for assembling hoses, ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency in every order.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area (6S).
Complete a Take5 hazard assessment for each assigned job.
Participate in the CLMW Safety program as required.
Complete daily safety objective assignments.
Adhere to the posted work schedule.
Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking Parker hose and fitting solutions.
Identify and select the appropriate Parker hose and fitting using the STAMP method.
Cut, clean, and crimp hose assemblies to meet customer specifications.
Enter data into the Parker Tracking System.
Properly cap, seal, and deliver completed hoses to customers.
Monitor and control inventory as per CLHM procedure (min/max).
Review and complete weekly stock orders.
Open and enter orders in the company system and ensure accurate paperwork is completed for each order.
Assist with daily toolbox and job planning meetings.
Contribute to the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
Perform other tasks as required by the team or manager.
Qualifications:
Willing to train as required; trade certification or work experience in a related field (e.g., hydraulics) is considered an asset but not a requirement.
Valid driver's license.
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality control for finished products.
Excellent team spirit and ability to work cooperatively with others.
Self-motivated with strong initiative and the ability to work independently.
Flexible and adaptable to work on various products and tasks.
Willing to work overtime as needed.
