Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Production Cylinder Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. In this role, you will play a vital part in assembling high-precision industrial equipment, contributing directly to our company's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Assemble new production cylinders using drawings provided including: gathering all necessary components, checking components for flaws, installing seals on piston/gland, putting cylinders together, testing, prime/paint, complete paperwork. Complete customer cylinder repairs including: inspection, testing, part fitting, reporting, communication with supervisor on findings, completion of repairs, retesting, paint to customer specifications. Testing hydraulic cylinders once built/repaired using high pressure testing equipment. Exercise extreme care when assembling and testing cylinders. Follow detailed assembly drawings, instructions and quality standards. Assemble mechanical components using hand tools and power tools with precision. Conduct inspections of assembled parts to ensure compliance with drawing specifications. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets. Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ease. Assist in inventory management and material handling as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Other adhoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Legally eligible to work in Canada. Good attendance record. Proven experience with assembly or manufacturing environments. Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools. Physical ability to perform manual tasks required for assembly. Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Ability to operate forklifts safely is preferred. Hoisting and rigging experience an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.00 per week
