The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Transactions & Treasury, the Patient Settlement Supervisor is responsible for the cash receipts cycle within the Patient Finance Liaison Group. With virtual, patient-focused technology, the Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the users of the technology understand and maximize the usage of the various platforms. The Supervisor is responsible for training, implementation of prescribed processes and controls as it relates to the cash receipts cycle of the Patient Liaison Group. The Patient Settlement Supervisor is responsible for all inpatient, outpatient and client settlements with a goal of maximization of supplemental revenue (non-Department of Health and Wellness [DHW] funding) and enhancement of patient experience.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm; 75 hours bi-weekly.

Your Qualifications

  • Diploma in Business/Accounting required; Bachelor\'s Degree in Business preferred
  • Recognized professional accounting designation (or working towards designation) is preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years\' experience in collections and customer service
  • Effective negotiator with a proven track record of settlement success
  • Effectively handle private, sensitive information
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills while demonstrating a high degree of professionalism
  • Proficient at Microsoft office, in particular, Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Meditech and/or SAP is considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible to meet workload demands and effectively prioritize workload
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Competencies in other languages an asset.
