Overview

We are seeking a skilled HVAC/R Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. The HVAC Apprentice will work on various projects and service calls, demonstrating proficiency in reading schematics and performing appliance repairs.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems including heating units, air conditioning units, and ventilation systems. Troubleshoot issues with HVAC/R equipment and perform necessary repairs to restore functionality. Conduct routine inspections of HVAC/R systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely. Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and configurations. Perform plumbing tasks as needed for HVAC/R installations or repairs. Utilize brazing and soldering skills for the fabrication or repair of HVAC components. Collaborate with other technicians and contractors on larger projects to ensure timely completion of work. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory management.

Qualifications

Level 2, 3 or 4 HVAC/R Apprentice. Willingness to learn under multiple journeymen. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various HVAC/R systems. Familiarity with plumbing tasks related to HVAC/R installations is preferred. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively. Experience in fuel-fired equipment repair is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Valid driver's license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.10-$35.40 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
