Responsibilities
Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), and related mechanical components.
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
Conduct routine inspections of property systems to identify potential problems before they escalate, ensuring continuous operation.
Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair electrical components and mechanical parts efficiently.
Service various appliances and mechanical systems related to property maintenance, including plumbing fixtures and refrigeration units.
Maintain detailed records of all service activities, repairs, parts used, and system performance for compliance and future reference.
Operate a driver or similar vehicle safely for field service visits across multiple sites.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in HVAC/R systems.
Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC installation and property maintenance.
Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, and equipment repair.
Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, appliance repair, electrical troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters, and general maintenance tasks.
Experience working in field service environments with a focus on property upkeep and equipment troubleshooting.
Ability to read technical diagrams accurately and implement repairs accordingly.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating a driver or similar vehicle preferred.
