Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician with a G1 license and Make-Up Air experience to join our team at Climate Control. This position will primarily support operations at a mining facility in Gogama, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, particularly in mining and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC systems, particularly Make-Up Air units. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of all climate control systems. Document work performed and maintain accurate records of service. Respond to service calls and emergencies as needed.

Qualifications:

Valid G1 HVAC license and Make-Up Air certification. Proven experience in HVAC installation and repair, preferably in mining/industrial settings. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including ductwork, controls, and refrigeration. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Working Conditions:

Ability to work in a mine environment, including exposure to various weather conditions. Must be able to lift heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks. Flexibility to work 10-12 hour shifts as needed, including overtime.
