Duties



Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately execute projects. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment and property infrastructure to ensure optimal operation. Conduct field service visits for appliance repair, system diagnostics, and emergency repairs with precision and efficiency. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to diagnose electrical issues and perform mechanical repairs. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports, inspection logs, and compliance records. Operate a driver vehicle safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment between job sites while adhering to all safety protocols.

Skills



Extensive knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC installation and property maintenance. Proven experience as a service technician with strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for complex HVAC design projects. Skilled in plumbing connections, refrigeration systems--including ammonia refrigeration--and air conditioning units. Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and equipment repair. Experience with welding techniques necessary for custom fabrication or repair tasks. Familiarity with boiler systems, appliance repair procedures, and general maintenance operations within commercial or residential settings. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals with hands-on experience in HVAC/R systems who thrive in field service environments.
