Starks Plumbing & Heating Ltd. is a local, family-owned mechanical contracting company specializing in commercial and industrial projects. We provide expert services in plumbing, gas-fitting, sheet metal, HVAC, electrical, deep utility, and refrigeration.

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced

Journeyman HVAC Sheet Metal Technician

to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems and sheet metal components--including make-up air systems, ventilation ducting, and ductwork fabrication--across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to accurately determine layout and installation requirements. Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices, promoting safe and efficient installation practices. Collaborate effectively with contractors, engineers, apprentices, and team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met. Represent the company professionally on job sites, maintaining a positive demeanor and strong customer relations. Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes, safety regulations and company standards, while utilizing tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

Valid Journeyman license or equivalent certification in HVAC Sheet Metal. Minimum of 4 years of HVAC and sheet metal experience, preferably in commercial and industrial settings. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, ventilation, and airflow principles. Physically capable of performing demanding tasks, including lifting up to 75 pounds and managing job-related equipment safely. Self-motivated, able to work independently, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Quick learner with a commitment to high workmanship and attention to detail. Strong communication skills paired with excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities. Team-oriented with a professional attitude and commitment to safe, quality work. Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract and reliable transportation.
