The HVAC Sales Associate, under the direction of the Sales & Service Manager, will be responsible for always maintaining professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner. This position will develop a high level of product knowledge. The HVAC Sales Associate requires experience with financing, also knowledge of the HVAC field and equipment is an asset. This position is salary with no commission during the training period. The successful candidate with be mentored by experienced sales staff and will have the opportunity to become a Home Comfort Specialist, base salary plus commission.

Generate customer sales through cold calling and networking
Promote sales to existing clients
Develop reports and proposals as part of sales presentation to illustrate the benefits of the HVAC equipment
Identify and solicit potential clientele
Adapt communication style in order to deliver information effectively to a range of individuals
Assist in taking orders from clients and prepare products for purchase
Assist in drawing up sales agreements for the approval of purchaser and seller
Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services, competitor activities, and other research
Handle customer complaints as they arise, escalating to the appropriate individual as deemed necessary
Keep up-to-date records on sales calls, customer contacts, and details of meetings in a timely manner in the format required
Relay customer quality improvement suggestions for company products and services
Learn to conduct sales forecasts and weekly or monthly status reports
Job Requirements
Sales and/or HVAC industry experience an asset
Expereince with financing is required
Knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
Ability to quickly pick up new product and service knowledge, and communicate that knowledge effectively to customers
Demonstrated time management skills
Exceptional objection-handling skills
High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
High level of integrity and work ethic
Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract, insurable on our policy
Must be physically capable of performing all related duties, such as entering confined spaces, ladder use and accessing attics.
English Required, Second/Multiple Languages would be considered an asset
