Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems, HVAC units, boilers, and related mechanical equipment in commercial or industrial settings Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions Conduct routine inspections of refrigeration and HVAC systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency Perform service technician tasks including component replacement, system calibration, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs requiring metal fabrication or joining Manage plumbing connections associated with refrigeration and HVAC systems to ensure proper water flow and drainage Diagnose problems using mechanical knowledge combined with field service experience to swiftly restore system functionality Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities Assist with property maintenance tasks related to air conditioning units, appliance repair, or other mechanical systems as needed Operate a driver vehicle safely when transporting equipment or parts between sites Support ammonia refrigeration systems where applicable, ensuring safe handling and compliance with environmental standards

Extensive experience with construction processes related to installing or upgrading refrigeration and HVAC systems Proven service technician experience with troubleshooting complex mechanical issues in refrigeration or HVAC environments Ability to read schematics accurately for electrical wiring, piping layouts, and system configurations Strong understanding of HVAC design principles to optimize system performance and energy efficiency Knowledge of plumbing practices relevant to refrigeration setups and water supply connections In-depth familiarity with refrigeration technologies including ammonia refrigeration systems when applicable Solid mechanical knowledge encompassing boilers, welders' skills, equipment repair techniques, and general property maintenance Field service expertise with the ability to work independently in diverse environments under minimal supervision Experience in appliance repair within commercial settings is a plus Valid driver license for safe transportation duties Proficiency with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters for diagnosing electrical faults Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues using diagnostic tools like welders or specialized repair instruments Ability to interpret technical schematics accurately for efficient repairs or installations Strong safety awareness when handling refrigerants like ammonia or working on high-pressure systems
