Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Project Manager and Estimator to join our team in Windsor, ON. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our mission by accurately estimating project costs and contributing to the successful execution of HVAC and Refrigeration service projects. The HVAC Project Manager and Estimator is responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring the successful end-to-end delivery of assigned HVAC Mechanical Retrofit / Design-Build Projects. These projects are typically of moderate complexity, risk, and exposure. The position ensures projects are estimated, completed on time, within scope, budget, and in compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and health and safety requirements.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Project Management and Estimation

- Plans and oversees the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects.

- Defines project scope, deliverables, and requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.

- Develops and implements project plans, determines resource and budget requirements, cost estimates, and timelines.

- Identifies project risks and develops mitigation and contingency plans.

- Monitors project delivery against timelines and ensures timely completion.

- Oversees project team activities and monitors task completion.

- Supervises project site construction activities.

Client Success:

Assist clients with HVAC solutions by assessing issues, estimating, and designing tailored solutions for replacements and installations.

Project Coordination:

Review project drawings and specs, estimate projects, understand mechanical drawings, and manage Change Orders with ease.

Collaboration & Leadership:

Attend site meetings, coordinate project schedules, and lead work crews, materials, and subtrades to ensure seamless project delivery.

Financial Management:

Track job costing and profitability, create budgets for materials and labor, manage PO's, invoices, and ensure accurate billing.

Project Tracking & Reporting:

Monitor field progress, track and report project progress and job costing, and prepare monthly forecasts.

Safety & Completion:

Ensure Health and Safety protocols are followed on all projects and prepare O&M manuals and As-Builts for project completion.

Client Relationship Management:

Develops and maintains effective client relationships. Resolves issues, manages client expectations, and ensures client satisfaction.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills Requirements

(313A) HVACR designation with service/projects background.

-

313A Journeyman with 10+ years of experience with strong knowledge of HVAC, Refrigeration, Hydronics and wanting to move in a hybrid (field + office) role

- 5+ years of project engineering experience in mechanical building services or construction.

- Proven project management aptitude in delivering projects on time, on budget, and within specifications.

- Experience in budget management, risk mitigation, and management.

- Advanced knowledge of provincial building codes, ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards.

- Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.

- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships, manage clients, and lead project teams.

- Proficient in MS Office suite and project tracking software.

- Continuous improvement and quality mindset.

- Valid Driver's License.
