Position Overview
We are seeking motivated and experienced HVAC Installers to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting residential HVAC/heat pump systems while ensuring high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer service. Whether you're an independent solo contractor or a contractor with a team, this position offers consistent work, supportive scheduling, and growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Install residential heat pump and HVAC systems according to manufacturer specifications, building codes, and schematics.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on HVAC systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Ensure clean, safe, and professional job site practices.
- Complete installation reports, service documentation, and communicate clearly with office staff and clients.
- Inspect HVAC systems, diagnose issues using meters and testing tools.
- Repair or replace faulty components including refrigeration lines, electrical wiring, and ventilation systems.
- Recommend system improvements or replacements based on customer needs and energy efficiency.
Must-Haves:
- 1-2 years of HVAC or heat pump installation experience (minimum)
- Valid Nova Scotia Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician License (or apprentice level)
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Own tools and basic PPE
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and customer service skills
- Liability insurance and Workers' Compensation (or willingness to obtain)
Assets (Not required but an advantage):
- Red Seal Certification
- Experience with Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Gree, or other major brands
- Fall Arrest, WHMIS, First Aid, or similar safety certifications
- Ability to read technical schematics and perform light electrical troubleshooting
