As a third year HVAC apprentice at Cool Air Rentals you will be responsible for providing installation services, repair, maintenance and upgrading our temporary heating and cooling equipment. Our cooling line ranges from 1 ton to 65-ton air conditioning units and 2 ton - 220-ton chillers, while our heating line ranges from 6kW electric heaters to 1.2MM BTU hydronic central heating units!



What You Will Do:



Preparing, testing, and loading of equipment as it is readied for projects. Assist with equipment return through the cleaning, testing, and tagging process to ensure its return to active rental status. Maintaining an organized workspace and conducting repairs and upgrades to equipment professionally and safely. Providing mentorship and oversight to technicians.

On Projects:



Contacting the customer to arrange timing and reviewing the project to confirm that customer's expectations align. Loading, delivery, installation, and removal of portable cooling and heating equipment and accessories. Representing Cool Air in a confident and professional manner. Leading the setup of all equipment safely and effectively. Returning the job site to its original condition on completion of work. Leading the removal of equipment and transport back to our shop at the end of the rental period.

What You Bring to the Table:



HVAC Apprentice (must have completed at least TT2 classwork). 3 years of hands-on experience in HVAC. Fluency in English is required for both verbal and written communication. Proficiency with hand and power tools required. Class 5 drivers license with a clean driving record for at least 3 year. Integrity, tenacity, mentor, and adaptability are the key attributes we seek. Energetic, enthusiastic and a willingness to work hard in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Able to show initiative and work efficiently to solve problems. Good customer service skills - positive attitude and well organized. Ability to work professionally and be a team player. Some flexibility in working overtime hours during the week as well as managing occasional on-call weekends particularly during the peak summer months. You must be registered with Skilled Trades BC as a third year HVAC Apprentice.
