Job Description

Schlegel Villages is excited to announce a brand-new opportunity for a Human Resources / Labour Relations (HR/LR) Partner to join our Support Office team. This Village-facing role will work closely with our leaders across the Villages, providing hands-on HR and LR support to help them thrive in their roles and serve their teams. Created in alignment with the growth of our organization, this position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact. You'll be supported by our Sr. Director of Labour Relations and be part of a collaborative team dedicated to fostering strong partnerships and a positive workplace culture.


Key Responsibilities:




Serve in a Village facing capacity; supporting initial grievances, investigations, attendance management and WSIB Assist in the interpretation and application of collective agreements Support a learning environment that builds labour relations and human resources capacity in leaders Develop, monitor and analyze metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Support the advancement of strategic people priorities across the organization Collaborate with the broader People team on operational goals and initiatives

Qualifications:




Post-secondary education in Labour Relations, Human Resources or a related discipline is an asset. 2-4 years of experience in labour relations and/or human resources. Solid understanding of employment laws and labour relations practices. Strong communication skills both verbally and written, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset.

Travel Requirements:


This is a hybrid role with requirements to be on site and/or weekly travel to our Villages
