JOB SUMMARY:



Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Consultant (Labour Relations), Human Resources, the Employee Relations Administrator provides HR-related administrative and logistical support to TPL managers, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of union-management issues and concerns.


The position is responsible for supporting managers and HR staff in coordinating meetings and communications with union, management and HR representatives staff on HR-related matters. The position will work closely with managers and HR staff to ensure that HR matters are addressed in a timely way and with appropriate participation of union representatives.


JOB DESCRIPTION:




Supporting managers in the handling of HR-related administrative tasks, including completion of required forms and documentation. Supporting managers in scheduling functions related to their HR activities, including required follow-ups, interviews and meetings with employees and Union representatives Ensuring that time-sensitive employee and labour relations matters are prioritized and addressed. Working closely with union officials to ensure that appropriate union representatives are invited to attend meetings when required. Providing related support to Human Resources and managers on HR matters.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Post-secondary degree in human resources or a related field. CHRP designation preferred or in progress. Minimum of two years' experience in human resources in a complex unionized environment, preferably with direct experience in labour relations or collective agreement administration. A working knowledge of employment and related legislation, including in particular the Ontario Labour Relations Act. Strong ability to work collegially and collaborative in a team environment Demonstrated expertise in calendar management, prioritization and project planning Skill and experience in using Microsoft Office suite and related solutions Ability to work effectively with union representatives, managers and senior leaders

SALARY:

$55,097 - $69,514 to max per annum (Grade 3)
