Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for a Human Resources Co-op Student to join our Irving Pulp & Paper team, based in Saint John, New Brunswick, for the Fall 2024 Work Term.As a student working in the office, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative and HR related activities that will give you an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, these duties include:

• Utilize our human resources information system (HCM) i.e. employees changes, updating employee listing
• Perform any tasks associated with administering HR programs
• Assist with the administration of tracking training, performance evaluations and other administrative duties that arise
• Coordinate events i.e. BBQ\xe2\x80\x99s, meals
• Assist in various tasks for Safety Coordinator and Training Coordinator
• Complete special projects as required

• Education Required: Business Administration students available for co-op work term and in good academic standing
• Self-starter, attention to detail, punctual, consistent, and flexible to changing tasks
• Goal oriented, demonstrate initiative, and enjoy working in a team environment
• Demonstrated problem solving skills and decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with excellent typing abilities
