Reporting to the Administrator of Human Resources, the Human Resources Specialist will support recruitment activities, oversee job postings and interview logistics, manage employment documentation, maintain personnel records, assist staff with HR-related forms, and serve as a liaison to various stakeholders, including employees, and union representatives.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Manage job postings and advertisements to support staffing needs.
Gather and organize applications in response to posted positions.
Coordinate interview logistics, including scheduling for recruitment committees.
Communicate interview outcomes to applicants through written follow-up.
Process HR documentation related to hiring, resignations, terminations, status changes, and leaves.
Serve as a key point of contact between the board, staff, and union representatives.
Maintain and update electronic records and databases for personnel.
Support employees in completing necessary HR forms and paperwork.
Ensure personnel data is accurate and aligned with monthly staffing reports for the Board.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Labour Relations or a related field.
A minimum of three years' experience in Human Resources.
Experience with public sector employers and unionized environments.
Strong computer skills and advanced experience with Microsoft Office products.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills considered an asset.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
This is a full time, temporary position.
HOURS:
Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
