Job Description
Agilus is recruiting for a Human Resources & Payroll Leader - Contract in the First Nations Space in Mini Thni, Alberta. The HR & Payroll Leader oversees both HR and payroll teams, ensuring smooth operations and compliance. While not handling payroll daily, you'll provide guidance, troubleshoot issues, and step in when needed. This role demands strong leadership and the ability to take charge immediately Total rewards:
- $45.00 - $55.00 hourly
- 6-Month Contract - candidates must commit to completing the full term
- Scheduled to work Monday through Friday, on site in Morley from 8:30AM to 4:30 PM or 9am to 5pm
- 30min from NW Calgary
- Weekly pay every Friday!
- 4% vacation added to every pay
- Potential for long-term or permanent placement based on business needs
- Provide HR leadership and oversight
- Manage HR and payroll teams
- Troubleshoot and support payroll staff when needed
- Manage a team of 6-7 staff across HR and payroll
- 5-7+ years of HR experience at an intermediate to senior level
- Strong HR background; some payroll knowledge preferred
- Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset, not required
- UKG system experience is highly valued
- Proven leadership experience
- Comfortable handling interpersonal and team challenges
