Summary
We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team at Newsam Construction. This pivotal role will be based in Canada and will focus on enhancing our HR practices to support our growing workforce. The Human Resources Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business objectives.
Manage recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
Oversee payroll administration and ensure accuracy in employee compensation.
Facilitate change management initiatives to support organizational growth.
Provide guidance on employee relations issues and resolve conflicts effectively.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations related to human resources.
Utilize HR software systems such as Ceridian and ADP for efficient HR operations.
Support training and development programs to enhance employee skills.
Requirements
Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.
Experience with payroll systems such as Ceridian or ADP is an asset.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on employee engagement and satisfaction.
